Final Thoughts

This title is perfect for the young gamer who doesn't have a lot of experience gaming. The game shows you what to do at the beginning of most levels making it very easy to pick up and play. Once you beat a level, that mini-game becomes unlocked from the main menu, so you can skip directly to it without going through the entire game. The game is very short and took less than an hour to complete the first playthrough. The main reason is it's almost impossible to fail as the mini-games allow you to retry without penalty. Hit detection is forgiving, it's hard to miss the speed boost rings, and and you don't need dead-on aim with the cannon to hit Ursela's tentacles, you just need to be close.

One area where the hit detection is unforgiving and frustrating is in Escape the Chef. Sebastian has to be in a very specific spot in front of a cage to release his fellow crab prisoners. It's better to be mean-spirited and not save them, as you can waste a lot of time trying to set them free, which could result at failing the level.

This game is far too easy for the majority of gamers and I wish it offered different difficulty levels. However, the difficulty is perfect for the game's main audience which is very young fans of the movie.
