Juka and the Monophonic Menace finally released!
Are your youngsters about to riot if you bring home another one of those sickeningly simple and sweet kiddie games that hold their interests for about as long as it takes to power up their Game Boy? Well keep those varmints at bay with Orbital Media's epic action adventure Juka and the Monophonic Menace, designed to be an exciting and creative intro to adventure gaming for pre-teens.
It's been close to a year since this fantasy adventure was originally scheduled for release, but now the wait is over. The long overdue game that was teased back at the 2005 E3 Expo comes out today for the Game Boy Advance. It's unclear exactly what caused the numerous delays of this title, but it may be due to how ambitious of a game it turned out to be.
Juka and the Monophonic Menace features classic elements typically found in games geared towards older audiences mixed with new and innovative gameplay. As Juka, you play a young alchemist on a quest to save the people of your world from the sinister Monophonic Menace. Battles are fought using Juka's "Sound Staff" featuring an original "pattern-based combat system". There are over 25 different quests throughout an interactive environment that sports 2500 screens and puzzles. The ESRB has rated it E for Everyone.
