THQ announces they will drive Cars to the Game Boy Advance
I have to face facts, I’m a cartoon fanatic! From cheesy ‘toons like Chuck Norris: Karate Kommandos to those slick computer generated comedies like Ice Age 2: The Meltdown, I simply can’t get enough of them! When a new GBA game comes out based on one my favorite cartoons I always make a b-line to it. Lucky for me this year is has been loaded with animated movies, most of which seem to have a GBA game in the works.
This summer, Disney and Pixar are gonna rev up theaters with their latest CGI flick Cars, and THQ has announced a game based on the film for the (GBA) and most of the other major platforms including cell phones.
Very little information has been released on the GBA edition. According to THQ’s press release all versions will feature “over 30 races and mini-games, more than 10 playable characters and allows players to explore the gigantic open world of Radiator Springs and more.” but since GBA incarnations of cross-platform games are typically different than their console counterparts it’s still unclear if it will follow these same features.
The game has been slated for release on June 6th, three days before the film. You can count on me playing the game as I wait in line to see the movie.
