EA Sports’ 2006 FIFA World Cup Germany for the GBA Ships Today!

Monday April 24, 2006

There’s a new treat on its way for soccer (aka “football”) enthusiasts. Today EA Sports ships their game based on the biggest competition in international soccer/football, the 2006 FIFA World Cup Germany. Scheduled to hit shelves tomorrow for most of the current platforms, this marks the first time EA Sports has published a World Cup Game for the GBA.

Finally Game Boy footie fans can play as their favorite teams as they make their way through the tournament. The game features 12 official stadiums used at the actual qualifying regions and at the 2006 FIFA World Cup event in Germany. With EA Sports track record of high quality World Cup games for consoles it’s exciting to see what they have cooked up for the GBA. The title has been Rated E by the ESRB ratings board so don’t expect many on-field fistfights to break out.
